2010 Census is coming

It is important that everyone complete the census.  Over the last 10 years thousands of dollars have been lost. Please take time to fill out your census report and turn it in. 

 

  DHS Seniors Present Career Portfolios

DHS seniors are scheduled to present career related portfolios to review panels on March 12th.  Senior portfolio day is designed to provide grade 12 students with an opportunity to present evidence to satisfy career related graduation requirements.  Please check with your senior and make sure they are prepared for their presentation.

 

  Parent-teacher Conferences: April 15th & 16th

DHS will host spring parent conferences on April 15th and 16th.  For more information   please contact DHS at 541.679.3001.

 

   Save the Date: DHS Auction April 17th!

The Annual DHS-Winston Area Community Auction is scheduled for April 17th at the Winston Community Center.  The auction is designed to raise funds for school programs, activities, equipment, and scholarships.  Check at the front office for tickets.

 

 Wrestlers Qualify for State

Douglas Wrestlers have finished their season qualifying 8 wrestlers to compete at the state meet.

Good Luck to Brian Middleton, Erik Jung, Trinity Castner, Eric Warren, Tyson Dahl, Devon Quimby, Joe Dubie and Brady Feasel.  As a team they placed 14 of their 15 wrestlers at their district meet and took 2nd over all at the district tournament.  Nice job guys.

 

Big Man on Campus

The second annual production of “Big Man on Campus” is scheduled for April 9th at the Winston Community Center. Tickets will be available soon at the front office.

 

 

 

 

 Music Award Winners

Congratulations to Jenn Starns, bassoon, and Brian McColligan, baritone voice, for their superior performances at the League Solo and Ensemble Festival.  Both will advance to the State Contest

on May 1st.

Last Day for seniors is June 1st!!!!

     

       June 1st:    Commencement practice #1 in the DHS gymnasium, 3:45 p.m.

       June 2nd:  Commencement practice #2 at UCC (Jacoby Auditorium), 4:00 p.m.

       June 5th:    DHS Commencement at UCC (Jacoby Auditorium) 7:00 p.m.
